Chris Quince provided CLIMB expertise to 15 individuals during a Metagenomics bioinformatics training workshop at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark).
The workshop, funded by Tom Gilbert (Copenhagen NHM), ran on 16th – 19th October 2017 on CLIMB VMs. Four days of lectures and tutorials covering all aspects of metagenome bioinformatics including read based and assembly methodologies. Hands-on training was provided with a variety of real short read data sets including the human gut microbiome and ancient DNA. VMs developed will be made available on CLIMB.
